EUNETYARD
Supporting Employment & Adaptability in Shipbuilding Sector
The transnational activities have been carried
out through a specific Transnational Cooperation Agreement called
“EUNETYARD – Supporting Employment & Adaptability
in Shipbuilding Sector”, with the co-operation of Turun AKK
Vocational Training Centre from the city of Turku (Finland) and
Neorion KEK Vocational Training Centre from the island of Syros
(Greece).
In this framework, focused on the main challenges related to the
European Shipbuilding Industry crisis, activities have been carried
out regarding the following issues:
- Exchange of information and experiences on safety and health
in the shipyards;
- Handling the problems of ageing workers;
- Analysis of production processes and outsorcing subcontracting
issues;
- Developing a communication and cooperation environment (web
portal & content management
tools);
- Developing a common skill certification and accreditation methodology
for the European shipbuilding industry and comparing common professional
profiles by using the Observatory;
- e-Forum on the Industrial Relations for the shipbuilding/ship-repair
sector workers;
- Identifying the guidelines for a promotion plan devised to attract
younger people and newcomers
in the European shipbuilding and boatbuilding industry.
Apart from these, a number of so-called horizontal
actions have also been carried out, including:
- Innovative actions to reinforce the added value of the partnership;
- Empowerment of both the target groups of the project (employees
and other actors of the industry) and all the partners of the
3 DPs;
- Dissemination activities;
- Mainstreaming activities to achieve impact on policies.
