THE S.UP.PORT.
PHILOSOPHY
The main items we focused on, over three years,
involving the partners in the project and social partners (trade
associations and unions), are:
- To reach the highest quality standards when offering port services
(it’s important to note that in our Port shipbuilding/ship-repair
activities are linked to the commercial port areas, so that they
are often treated like “port services”);
- The maintaining workers’ skill standards in the shipbuilding
industry, port companies and terminals;
- To facilitate existing mobility and transformation processes,
combating potential risk of exclusion for port workers from the
job market.
These are our key-factors: as a Port Authority,
we have an overall view of the major issues affecting ports, and,
by carrying out a project focused on adaptability, with its related
training and work-placement activities, we can really facilitate
mobility processes among the various companies operating in the
port. |
